In the final open match, Nadal defeated the Norway’s star player Casper Rood, by 6-3, 6-3 and 6-0 lead and won the French open title for the 14th time.

On the occasion for such a great achievement, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, congratulate Nadal saying,

There were so many players and high-profile dignitaries from all across the world came forward wishing Rafael Nadal the best.
Just before the final match, Nadal came in to sudden limelight for coming in support of his opponent from Germany, naming Alexander Zverev, who faced an injury in his right ankle and had to abruptly taken off the court due to his unavailability to play any further. Rafael helping his opponent during the match said he felt “very sorry” for the world no.3 in such painful condition.
